In connection with the name day of Karol Wojtyla, which is celebrated on November 4, the Museum Family Home of the Holy Father John Paul II in Wadowice has organized a temporary exhibition of paintings depicting the saints of the John Paul II’s native land. The author of the paintings is Father Wacław Piszczek of the Congregation of the Missionary Fathers of Krakow. In all his works religious painting predominates: altar paintings, cycles of the Via Crucis, images of saints and thousands of drawings for books, magazines and booklets. For his contribution to the development of national culture, he was awarded the „Golden Cross of Merit” and the Medal of Saint Stanislaus.
The exhibition will be available for visitors from 5 to 30 November. Admission to the exhibition is free.
